Our 2009 study tour will be travelling to Seattle and the west coast of the US. Delegates will have the chance to meet the developers of the latest evidence-based prevention and early intervention programmes, as well as seeing the programmes in action and talking to the practitioners implementing them.
In addition, there will be daily debriefs with SRU staff to help understand how these experiences can be translated into policy practice back home. This stimulating and challenging programme includes visits to three Blueprints model programmes, Multisystemic Therapy, Olweus Bullying Programme and Functional Family Therapy, as well as input from Carolyn Webster-Stratton, architect of Incredible Years, and David Hawkins at the Social Development Research Group at University of Washington.
