Unit paper presented at this year's Society for Prevention Research conference

Nick Axford, Tim Hobbs and Gretchen Bjornstad attend SPR's 19th annual conference in Washington D.C

Every year, the Society for Prevention Research hosts a conference where prevention scientists around the world meet to discuss the latest research in the prevention of social, physical and mental health, and academic problems and on the translation of that information to promote health and well being.

This year, the conference takes place in Washington D.C, from May 31st to June 3rd. Social Research Unit team members Nick Axford and Gretchen Bjornstad will present a paper that looks at the recruitment of parents to an evidence-based parenting programme in a large conurbation in the UK, focusing on the problems that were encountered, how they were rectified and what can be learned from the experience.

For a day-by-day account of conference, please visit www.preventionaction.org.
