Bid Writing and Business Development Lead
Clare joined Dartington in November 2025 and leads on business development strategy and bid writing, driving the growth and sustainability of the charity’s research, evaluation and systems-change work. She oversees the end-to-end bidding process, working collaboratively across teams to design compelling, high-quality proposals that strengthen Dartington’s ability to achieve its mission.
Clare has spent her career in business development roles across the charity sector and has expertise in strategic bid writing, effective business development processes and nurturing collaborative relationships with delivery and consortium partners. Before joining Dartington, she founded the Haddy Helene Foundation, a charitable trust supporting disadvantaged young people in The Gambia. She also previously led national business development teams at Turning Point and Change Grow Live, securing opportunities across substance misuse, criminal justice and public health.
Clare holds a first-class BSc in Criminology and Applied Psychology and brings a deep commitment to supporting individuals and communities to reach their full potential.
