Laurence is responsible for ensuring that Dartington’s impact for children is underpinned by sound financial stewardship, effective governance and robust operational systems.

Laurence joined in December 2025, having spent the last 15 years supporting mission-led organisations in the non-profit sector to build the structures, capabilities and cultures that drive impact - spanning youth social action, criminal justice reform and anti-racism. His focus is on shaping the internal frameworks that enable organisations to partner effectively and sustainably scale their impact.

Before joining Dartington, Laurence held a range of senior operational roles across the charity sector, including Chief Operating Officer at the Runnymede Trust. Across these roles he led on organisational strategy, financial planning, governance and equity-centred transformation and service delivery.

Laurence began his career in youth work, and that grounding in frontline practice continues to inform his commitment to an operational approach that centres lived experience, equity, and long-term systemic change.
